The Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass) is one of the most popular and cost-effective ways to travel around Japan, especially for tourists planning to visit multiple cities. This pass offers unlimited travel on most JR trains, including the famous shinkansen (bullet trains).
Types of Passes
- 7-day Pass: Ideal for short trips covering 2-3 major cities

Important Notes
The JR Pass must be purchased before you arrive in Japan. You cannot buy it within the country. Make sure to plan ahead and order your pass with enough time for delivery.
